Days 50-51: A day in the life and the end

Monday
What a day. We started off at 2 in the afternoon with an NLP and coaching session with Thomas O’Duffy (http://www.lifechanging.ie/).
He gave us some very awesome advice, condensed from his years of studying NLP and psychology and human performance, and distilled into what he recognises as “the best of the best”.
What I like about his approach is that he recognises that a lot of people in the NLP community are actually pretty messed up – NLP promises a lot but most of the time it fails to deliver. And those that usually model certain members of the NLP community end up as messed up as those they follow. Sounding familiar? It’s almost like the seduction Community in some ways.
Thomas gave us two very powerful pieces to implement daily.
One is a ritual of four questions, to ask ourselves on a day-to-day basis. They are:
- What have I appreciated and enjoyed the most in the past day?
- What have I done really exquisitely?
- How have I improved?
- Based on today, how can I do things better tomorrow?
He also gave us the notion of a morning ritual, which is a concept from the book The Power of Full Engagement by Tony Schwartz. In case you are wondering, here is the morning ritual I will be using post-Rockstar. It is based on the morning ritual I used to have pre-Rockstar, and modified using insights I’ve learnt along the way:
- Wake up.
- Drink 500mL of water.
- Steam and essential oils.
- Exercise and stretches. Either 15min of cardio followed by stretching or a yoga routine. Vercetti’s posture, movement and vocal projection tuning ritual.
- Yen’s PC muscle exercises.
- Chi packing.
- Get changed.
- Morning shake (use a blender). This stuff is awesome. Ingredients: 1/2 pack frozen acai, 1/2 cup frozen blueberries, 1 cup milk, 1 frozen banana, 2 tablespoons hemp protein powder, 1 teaspoon bee pollen, 1 teaspoon flax seed, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence, pinch of sea salt.
- Circle of Excellence exercise.
- (optional) 1 hour of business or self-development reading.
- (optional) 30 minutes of language learning.
- (optional) 30 minutes of neural net training in some skill.
- Most important business task of the day.
Thomas also worked with us on individual aspects and issues that we had. For me it was better understanding my issues with emotional openness and emotional connect. What I found was that my issue is not so much emotional openness, it’s more that I tend to strip out emotions from memories very quickly, and file them away without emotions attached.
Thomas showed me how to reverse the process of emotional nullification that I use, and how to use it to open up emotions in select memories and in the present. I’ve been playing with it and it is pretty fucking cool. As with most things, this is an ability that I will craft and use over time, and get better at controlling. If there was one single thing that I walk away from Rockstar grateful for, it is this.
We spent the early evening working on some business and game tasks and then… all of a sudden, there’s a knock on my hotel door. It’s Micha. And Vishal. WTF.
He’s back. And he brought his Porsche.
We hop in and go in search of food. We end up in Leceister Square eating Mexican food, and driving to South London to drop Micha off at his girl’s house. This is where it gets weird. We were stopped just outside where we were dropping off Micha by the police (for “erratic driving”). They pulled each of us aside and started asking questions… it was pretty funny to watch. Studying social dynamics and pickup gives you a unique insight into human communication – you start to recognise things that people do in specific contexts, and how you may do similar things to others where you are navigating through an interaction. For example, the police officer kept on trying to use state break questions on us. Multiple times. Unsuccessfully. It was kinda funny to see them all talk to each other afterwards and be like “WTF we didn’t charge them for anything?”
And so ended Monday night.
Tuesday
The last official day of Project Rockstar.
We started with a morning session on inner game with Magnus. He covered a model that he created that leads to acceptance of self and alignment across multiple levels.
We then had closing talks with Mr M, Dr Yen, Bugsy and Freedom of Speech. Mr M plugged in some gaps in our phone/text game knowledge, and day 2 and SCM knowledge. Dr Yen and Freedom of Speech gave us some ideas about how to take what we had learnt in Rockstar and integrate it into our lives moving forward. Personally, I am fucking excited and can’t wait to get the chance to start sitting down and formulating my goals and plans for the next couple of years.
And of course… to end it all off, we ended up at a strip club. This was my *first ever* time to a strip club. It was actually a pretty neutral experience (as you would expect from me no less). I wasn’t overly impressed, or overly unimpressed – it just simply was. Watching Mr M, Freedom and Vishal run verbal game on the strippers though was fucking amazing. These guys are phenomenal at it, and I think it’s something I’d like to look more into in the future. I did have a huge realisation though (again, as you would expect from me). I now understand what it feels like to be on the receiving end of an interaction where the person who is talking to you is not being genuine but is saying all the right things. Over the course of Rockstar, I’ve approached multiple girls and lied through my teeth because I was vetoed into set or doing a demo or whatnot. As we got closer to the end of Rockstar, I found that I just wasn’t able to do it anymore – it really ate me up inside to approach someone and take value by delivering a fake compliment. Sitting there in the strip club, having strippers who are obviously bored, ask all the usual rapport questions and try to make conversation… it was fucking annoying, and really didn’t give me anything but a negative feeling. I am making a promise to myself to never do this to girls ever again.
And so ends Project Rockstar.

Day 29: Strategy & Tactics

The Day
Superconference day 3. Listened to Mr M’s talk on advanced social dynamics, then joined the Rockstar Panel onstage. We all presented mini-segments on different topics… I talked about a framework for analysing your game (inner game or otherwise), borrowed from NLP (credit: Robert Dilts). It’s called Neurological levels and works a bit like this:
1. Path / Purpose – What you ultimately want to do in life, and how it impacts the world.
2. Beliefs / Values – What you believe in. And what is important to you.
3. Capabilities – What you can do. Tactics and technical fluency.
4. Behaviour – How you naturally act when out in-field.
5. Environment – How people react to you in-field, and environmental factors like logistics and other people.
If you take any game sticking point, you can run it through this model and it will tell you what you need to specifically work on, and at what neurological level you should work on it. It will tell you if you need to change something at a higher level (say beliefs) or just test something out in-field more (say a new routine, dependent on your behaviour and the environment around you).
Following our panel some of the Rockstars had lunch/dinner at Johnny Rockets… real American food
I then took some time off to take a quick powernap and green drink before listening to Savoy’s talk about learning game, and hearing a wrap-up of the superconference from Future (voted best instructor for 2009) – it was inspiring to hear that he came from a very dark place and is now one of the funnest, funniest, and most compassionate people I have met.
The night was spent in-field for Savoy’s birthday party at Body English (happy birthday mate!). It was a lot of fun, but also incredibly frustrating at the same time. The club was loud, and the crowd was very different from prior nights. Being a Sunday, most of the people in there were Vegas locals, and thus socially hardened. We got a lot of break rapport reactions and had to play dancing monkey to just hold conversations, as well as having to be very physically dominant when handling girls. At around 3am I had had enough and decided to leave… there was nothing new to be gained or learned from running five-to-ten minute sets and then having them fizzle because my verbal game is lacking.
Outer Game
I have a number of outer game sticking points written down at the moment. Each day, I am going to report on my progress of working through them. It feels like today is the first day where I am starting to approach Project Rockstar proactively rather than having things prescribed to me by various instructors.
Here they are-
- Verbal Game, starting with opening, transitioning and attraction. Qualification can come later. Daxx helped me with opening, and I’ll post below his very good advice. Transitioning – take the most common transitions (who, what, fun, work) and build conversation pieces that are optimised. Attraction – write scripts, build conversation pieces that set the right frames. Make sure that I use each of these in every interaction I enter into. Attraction – teasing and “dissociative thinking”, via question-answer scripts and reading Braddock’s field reports. All of this is ultimately training my neural nets and transferring initially conscious effort into unconscious ability.
- Verbal Game, qualification, comfort, SOIs etc etc. This will come later.
- Logistical Escalation. This is both an inner and outer game issue. The outer game component is about getting used to “making things happen”, and the inner game component is all about developing that killer instinct and just going for it (“sexual intent”).
- Physical Escalation. More consistency and pushing the boundaries more would be good.
- Takeaways. Mostly of a physical nature.
- Delivery. Sensual descriptions, deeper voice and slow down.
Inner Game
In addition to working on my outer game tactically I’m also going to continue to develop my inner game, slowly and bit-by-bit. Outer game takes priority. Inner game is more of a “if I have time” kinda thing.
- Logistical Escalation & just going for it. Part of this is the willingness to stick it out and to keep approaching and trying. See above.
- Identity & beliefs. Some beliefs I need to consider: girls find me attractive, girls check me out, I am sexworthy, I am a man who makes things happen.
- Boundary function.
Learnings
- I need to spend more time in off-field practice. This is like the sports team that spends all week training for a game on the weekend. Simply being out in-field and approaching non-stop, at my level, will not help me improve things. There are too many environmental variables in an interaction, and I need structure to train things first.
- Opening, Daxx-style: “Woah, woah woah… (pause) You… are…. fucking… gorgeous… who are you?” or “Hey… this is… uh… really embarrassing (pause, hold eye contact)… but I was going to wear exactly the same thing tonight.” or “Woah… (pause)… you are stunning… why haven’t we met yet?”. The key to all these is in the delivery, pausing, eye contact and dominant physical components.
- My biggest leverage point at the moment is my verbal game. I am going to hammer away at this until it is a level where I can say that it’s handled, and consistent.

Days 23 & 24: Rain

It’s been pretty quiet for the past couple of days.
We did some infield with Keychain (shop game), but I was being obnoxious and he sent me home
…
…
…
…just kidding. I was dead tired and my brain has been going through overdrive processing game information that I needed to just sit and do nothing and let it process.
We had a talk from London Playboy (http://www.thesocialcoach.com/) about stripper game – it’s exactly the same as normal game, except you have less room for error, and you need to watch for what he calls “stripper IOIs” rather than the usual IOIs.
The rest of the guys went out to a stripclub to practice their newfound stripper-pulling abilities while I rested upĀ – for some 12 hours or something.
Today we had a health check-in with Miki, then an NLP session with Jamie Salad of Salad Ltd (http://www.saladltd.co.uk). Jamie with over a bunch of high-level concepts like happiness and life goals and we just explored them in a sort-of pseudo-trance for three hours. I’m not sure yet exactly what I learnt from it, but when I review my notes later I’m sure there are a couple of gems in there.
Tonight we are all busy catching up on administrative work and packing for Vegas.

Day 02: LondonHunk, Sushi, Daxx & Bugsy

Day two, and I am already starting to feel the momentum that is coming.
Our schedules are packed to the brim, so I’m starting a habit of getting up about 2 hours before our first session or activity of the day to clear all the housekeeping that needs to be done – be it unpacking the rest of my luggage, or catching up on the prescribed Rockstar reading.
R, one of our health and fitness experts shows up early. Most of the Rockstars are still in bed. Fire-alarm-style I wake up everyone that’s still asleep, and we all stumble half-awake into the lounge room for our talk. R is one of the UK’s top personal trainers, and we talk with him about our health and fitness goals, and he proceeds to tell us a bit about weight and strength training and how he’s going to build us what he calls a “hotel workout” – a 30-50 minute regimen we can take with us on our Rockstar travels. He is also going to be advising us on what to eat during our first 5 weeks of insane traveling.
A little later, LondonHunk shows up. If anyone’s read the Rockstar 2008 thread, you’ll remember the both awe-inspiring and scared-shitless first impressions that the 2008 Rockstars had of him. Maybe it was because we were all still half-asleep, but he wasn’t actually scary… just incredibly passionate about game, life, and of course, physical health.
He explained to us his theories on health, which comprises mostly of diet, working out and taking the right supplements. He also promised to get to us some incredibly powerful “green drink powder” that we can use to replace caffeine and Red Bulls. We also had our body fat and other hormone levels measured, for comparison at the end of the program.
After sprinting (good start to the fitness program, huh) out to the nearby shops, we grab lunch-to-go and head back to hear one of the wealth mentors talk – I don’t think he’s a Community guy so I’ll just call him B. B talked to us about how to manage a growing small business. His products (including next-generation sushi) are reknown in Norway, and he has an incredibly optimised supply chain system. He shared with us how he manages all his employees while minimising his own involvement in the company. Mr M very succinctly put it as “how to have a four hour work week business within a traditional structure.”
During B’s talk, he also talked about a nightly visualisation he does, and how he goes through the operations of his company top-down inside and out, and then sees all the components he would like to optimise. Mr M explained that this process of daily visualisation, be it of your business, or your structure for taking a girl home on the night you meet her, is one of the fundamental pieces to success. It’s a process described in Psycho-Cybernetics, which I’m about halfway through and hoping to finish up in a day or two.
Following B’s talk a couple of us sprinted out for coffee and energy drinks (probably the last we’ll have for the 8 weeks), and came back for Daxx’s talk. Daxx is moving to LA tomorrow, but he made the time to come out and meet with us today – thanks man!
Daxx covered his journey through the game, and he has a totally different perspective on how things work with “game”. He talked a lot about naturals, and how they perceive social dynamics as something that they just do rather than analyse and think about. He gave us two high-level concepts to game, that sum up his philosophy of game: approach, because talking to one person can make an incredible difference to the direction of either your life of theirs; and have fun while you’re doing it.
Next up, we all grabbed some tapas for dinner at a nearby shopping market before heading back for Bugsy’s talk. Bugsy is active in the LSS and is charge of the Rockstar syllabus on the pickup & relationships side of things. He taught us his high-level overview of game: go out a lot, have sexual intent, and give yourself permission.
Some of the other Project Rockstar mentors stayed around for Bugsy’s session. One of them, K, is actually launching a very cool dating service to the Community and general public this Friday – keep an eye out for it!
By the time Bugsy was done it was already 9pm. A couple of the Rockstars went out with him for a beer, while the rest of us caught up on blog posting and other work we had on our plates. Living together with 3 other guys who are on this journey with me is amazing – we all learn the same things and spend all day together, and are able watch each other absorb everything.
Tomorrow we are meeting with one of our wealth mentors who is talking to us about wealth preservation, before our first fitness session and daygame session with Dr Yen. Who should actually be called Captain Jack Sparrow, but…
We are also implementing the veto rule from now on. This is basically an approach-coaching game, where if one of your team calls “veto” on a hot girl walking by… you have to approach. Even if she’s across the street through 4 lanes of London rush-hour traffic.
Highlights of the Day
- Josh’s razor falling into shit. Literally.
- Bumping into Bugsy on the way back from dinner. He immediately asked me (insert cool British accent): “Have you guys met the people around here yet?” and then introduced me to this cute girl working at one of the bars nearby.
- Quote of the day from LondonHunk: “I eat zinc, and oh, my balls grow”
- Mr M’s linking of self-image and visualisation to success in everything in life.
- We are going to have a “points” page coming to the Project Rockstar blog very soon, if I can work out how to implement it. This is for a fun and friendly competition between the West & East Rockstar Mansions more than anything else, but it’s gonna be awesome. We’re trying to decide if a spitroast or a girl-girl-guy threesome is worth more points – anyone?
